I am a patchwork of nationalities, in the best possible way… I’m half Spanish and half American, although, I have neither accent to prove it. I was born in Italy, spent most my childhood in England, but am lucky enough to call New Zealand home. It was in England, at six years old, when I first began learning my piano. With an older brother to lead the way and my twin on the guitar, we were all music. At eleven, my family left what we knew behind, to sail halfway around the world on a 44ft catamaran. Just the five of us and a Yamaha p60 piano. From Florida to New Zealand, cultures, islands and countries in between, our parents created an education out of our everyday life. Three years of sailing lead us to the mountains in Queenstown, New Zealand in 2010. Home.
Accustomed to a wall-less classroom, I left high school a year early to dive with my dad, whilst he was curator of the Dubai Aquarium. I then deferred university to become a pro-kiteboarder. Ultimately though, following a number of titles...and injuries, my love of words and music eventually brought me a Bachelor Degree in classical piano performance. A few months after graduation, I booked a one way ticket to Los Angeles, February 2017, to write and record my first self-titled EP.
The five song EP, produced by Grammy Award winning engineer Cassidy Turbin, is a mix of pop-acoustic tracks with influences from Matchbox 20, Jewel, Counting Crows, Avril Lavigne, Macy Gray and Vanessa Carlton. (The CD’s that accompanied my formative years at sea)
I’m currently working on my sophomore EP and am signed to THINK Music Inc for Licensing. Unbelievably I will be on the road this NZ summer playing shows all over New Zealand, Australia and Los Angeles.
I just can’t wait.
